In a world as interconnected as ours, it is impossible to be politically active and not see the global implications in so much of our daily politics. As someone who believes in social justice, who lives in a war-like post-imperial country that has close ties to the biggest war-like country in the world, I find it necessary to make work that looks beyond the borders of our small island.
