In 2012 the campaign for Scottish independence began its first referendum. The case to remain in the UK was made by the British establishment, the main UK parties and the entire UK media. On the other side was the largest mass-movement of people seen in Scottish history.
I began making my own social media graphics to support a Yes vote for independence in early 2013 and by the end of the year was working as the sole designer on Yes Scotland's digital team. Over the course of the campaign, I also worked with most of the national pro-Yes groups and many local groups.
In all I created around 1,300 graphics, which are held in the National Library of Scotland's digital archive. This is a tiny selection of some of the best.
