These paintings express the changes for the positive in my life and in my thinking, that came about during 2009-2010. They juxtapose themes of freedom, surrender, release and growth against the darker negativity of the past.
Each painting is a statement of my reality at the moment of creation. They show the balance between positive and negative and how much affect the world is having on me. They show how important the world is in my day and whether I am lost in my own head, or feeling at one with the universe.
By painting in this manner, I become more attuned to myself and better able to express my various states. They have allowed me to better exist in the now.
